Camps

Members and leaders of Northern Star Council have access to some of the nation's finest camps.  Click on the links below to find out more about each.  These links currently take you to the respective Viking or Indianhead Council website camp information page as we build our new combined NorthernStarBSA.org website.

Eagle Landing

This property is located just south of Osceola, Wisconsin, on the St. Croix River. It has 20 beautiful wooded acres with a 1940's era cottage located on the property. It makes for an excellent camping area for such things as canoe trips on the St. Croix River or an overnight location for climbing trips to Taylors Falls.

Fred C. Andersen

Located five miles northeast of Stillwater, MN and three miles north of Houlton, WI. The camp boasts 260 acres along the St. Croix River with year-round camping, 17 winterized cabins, tent campsites, and a one-mile trail to a remote backpacking site .

Kiwanis

This camp is one hundred and ten acres nestled on the banks of the St. Croix river. The camp is a unique property which can provide many activities; swimming pool, fishing, tennis courts, basketball, volleyball, softball, BB gun, archery, hiking trails, canoes, and rowboats, sledding, snowshoeing, broomball, & crafts. Kiwanis provides a dining hall for 120 people, a 36 person dormitory, six sleeping cabins, bunkhouse, and a fellowship hall for 100 people. During the summer Kiwanis is home to a resident Cub Camping program.

Many Point

This resident summer camp is located in a beautiful wilderness setting in northwest Minnesota near the town of Park Rapids. With its 2400 acres of wooded land in the White Earth State Forest, 8 miles of shoreline on Many Point and Round Lake, and location adjacent to the 143,000 acres of the Tamarack National Wildlife Refuge it’s the perfect place for your Scout troop’s, or Venture crew’s, summer camp experience. Many Point prides itself on its variety of program activities, quality of advancement opportunities, great food and a customer-service-oriented and Mission-focused camp staff.

Phillippo Scout Reservation

The reservation is located on the south shore of the Byllesby Reservoir, three miles west of Cannon Falls, MN. The reservation is four hundred and fifty acres of rolling fields, wooded campsites and hills overlooking the Cannon River valley. During the summer Phillippo is home to the Camp Akela resident Cub Camp. Phillippo Scout Reservation features eight winterized cabins, a 48 person Gwin Conference Center, campsites, cross country ski trails, canoes, and a modern 400 person dining hall. Phillippo is well suited for weekend tent camping, winter cabin camping, unit camping and summer activities.

Rum River

A year round camp located 4 miles north of Anoka on Minnesota's state Highway 47. Rum River is home to Cub Scout and Webelos camping as well as a C.O.P.E. Course. It's 160 acres features wooded campsites, two enclosed activity buildings, a sliding hill and a year-round resident ranger to help facilitate your stay.

Stearns

A year round camp located north of Annandale on Stearns County Highway 44, covering 1,200 acres. Stearns is the home to Cub Scout and Webelos camping as well as the Northwinds Winter Camp. Conveniently located less than an hour NW of Minneapolis, Stearns features Hiking, Lakes, Woods and over 1200 acres of unspoiled beauty that is becoming hard to find today.

Tomahawk

This camp is located on Long Lake in north-western Wisconsin, 20 miles north of Rice Lake. Encompassing more than 2,500 acres of woodland area and over eight miles of shoreline, Tomahawk is home to four sub camps for summer Boy Scout and Webelos resident camps as well as the Snow Base Winter Camp.
