Plan of
Consolidation
(195KB)-- The Plan of Consolidation sets forth the basic
terms of the consolidation and the articles of incorporation of
the new council. Additional detail will be set forth in an
extensive written agreement between the Indianhead and Viking
Councils.
Committee Report
The PDF links below will allow you to download the entire Final
Report of the Consolidation Study Committee and the various task forces that
met in support of the Committee.
There were more than 50 different volunteers from all aspects of Scouting, as
well as key staff members involved in many meetings that built upon the work of
previous volunteer committees to consider Scouting's long-term strength.
The report has been separated into 5 sections with the file size listed
next to it and consists of nearly 170 pages if you choose to print it.
The Committee voted unanimously to ask each council's board of directors to
place a Plan of Consolidation on the agenda for council annual meetings this
spring. The boards voted
to move forward on February 16, 2005, and the voting members
approved consolidation on March 30.
